Wokingham Borough Connect
Reporting urgent issues
We have a great online tool for reporting and tracking issues with our roads or footways, meaning that we can keep in touch with you about what investigations and repairs are taking place.
But for urgent issues that are likely to present imminent threat to life, serious injury or serious damage to property, we need to know about these quickly and should be reported to us by phone as soon as you can.
If you're reporting an urgent issue that requires immediate attention please call:
-
0118 974 6000 and select the 'roads and road maintenance' option - 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
-
0800 212 111 out of hours - Monday to Friday 5pm to 9am, weekend days and public holidays
We aim to respond to urgent issues within two hours. Urgent issues include things like:
- Traffic lights that are completely off, or stuck permanently on one colour
- A lamppost that has been hit by a vehicle
- Exposed electrical cables
- A fallen tree obstructing the road
- Debris covering the road, e.g. from fly-tipping
- Missing manhole
- Deep pothole
