New bus lane for Winnersh park and ride service
Night-time closures will be in place on London Road in Reading next week to create a new bus lane in time for the opening of the expanded Winnersh Triangle park and ride service.
The road forms a key part of the route used by the expanded service, running from Winnersh Triangle via the A3290 and into Reading. The changes will help make services run even more smoothly when they launch on 19 August.
London Road will be closed in both directions from 12 to 14 August between 7pm and 1am each day and a signed diversion will be in place via the A3290 Winnersh Triangle junction and Wokingham Road. The new bus lane will open 15 August.
We have commissioned Reading Buses to extend the 500 Winnersh park and ride service from Saturday-only, to Monday to Saturday, four buses an hour, from 19 August. More information can be found on the Reading Buses website.
