 Save with advanced tickets for Wokingham Festival
Wokingham Festival is back on August Bank Holiday weekend and you can save £5 on adult day tickets and £12.50 on adult weekend tickets if you buy in advance.
Returning to Cantley Park in Wokingham, the family-friendly festival champions quality music, as well as showcasing local bands.
There is a great selection of food, beer and stalls to browse, plus entertainment for children. There are more than 40 artists appearing across the weekend, with this year's headliners including Totally Blondie, Rila's Edge and Ozric Tentacles.
Children under the age of eight go free with an adult and children's day tickets are £7 if bought in advance, a £2 saving on the gate price.
 Second Sunny Saturday will have you swinging
You are in for a lively lunchtime of entertainment from swing and jazz band Blue Sky Big Band this Saturday (27 July).
Visit Peach Place in Wokingham from 11am to 1pm for the event, which is being organised by Wokingham Town Council.
You may even get a smattering of rock and roll if you get up and dance. You are guaranteed a great performance, so settle in with a drink or meal at one of the surrounding restaurants and cafés and enjoy.
The next Sunny Saturday event is due to take place on 7 September, with the act yet to be confirmed.
 Print your own masterpiece at cyanotype workshops
We are hosting cyanotype workshops at our libraries in Woodley and Lower Earley next month.
In these hands-on workshops, children and parents will have fun printing their own cyanotypes, exploring different materials, plants and shapes to create unique designs.
These sessions are being held at:
- Lower Earley Library, Friday 16 August, 10am to 11am (children aged four to seven) and 11.30am to 12.30pm (children aged eight to ten)
- Woodley Library, Friday 2 August, 11.30am to 12.30pm (children aged eight to ten)
It costs £3 per child and booking is required.
 Create your own campfire tale with Eloise de Sousa
Eloise de Sousa is giving a talk at Wokingham Library on Tuesday 6 August where you can meet some of the characters from her books.
Writer of fiction for children and adults, Eloise is joining us from 10am to 11am, giving you the chance to create your own campfire tales.
She has written a number of books for children about bullying and slapstick adventures involving animals, including Moffy and Flo and Space Dust.

 Get help with your queries about breastfeeding
Come and speak to the Health Visiting Team in Wokingham as part of Breastfeeding Awareness Week (August 1 to 7).
They will be in Market Place from 9.30am to 4pm on Tuesday 6 August and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The theme for this year is about Closing the Gap and ensuring everyone has the support they need to breastfeed.
World Breastfeeding Week aims to highlight the huge benefits that breastfeeding can bring to the health of babies.
 Fee-fi-fo-fum: Theatre in the Park presents free fun
Theatre in the Park is back with an adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk, adapted and performed by Bart Lee Theatre.
Meet Old Ma Donald as she tries to get her lazy son Idle Jack to do some work around the farm. Little does she know she is about to go on an amazing adventure full of riches and glory beyond belief.
There will be songs and audience participation in this feel good, upbeat retelling of the classic tale. It is free and will take place at Elms Field in Wokingham on Saturday 3 August.
Organised by Wokingham Town Council, there are performances at 11am and 2pm. Bring chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy the show.
