What's coming up
The team will continue to focus on preparation works to allow installation of the new drainage network in the phase two closure.
Drainage works are critical to the overall success of the project and will help to solve flooding issues in the area.
What's been happening
The team excavated trial holes down through the first few layers of the road surface to locate utility pipes and cables to check that the utility maps were accurate. This then allowed them to starting digging the phase two new drainage network.
We had one team working from Avery Close heading towards the crossroads and another from Avery Corner Car Park heading towards the crossroads.
Tackling inconsiderate parking
Due to parking issues in the area, we are putting parking suspensions in place from Monday 3 June.
Signs will be up to inform motorists and show where the suspensions are on Nine Mile Ride and Finchampstead Road.
The parking suspensions are enforceable, meaning that anyone who parks there risks being issued a penalty charge notice.
Please be considerate while these works are taking place.
