Wokingham Borough Connect
Reading Half Marathon this weekend
Reading Half Marathon takes place this Sunday (14 April) and will see thousands of runners taking to the streets of Reading.
The marathon starts and finishes at the Reading Football Club stadium with a route that takes runners through the centre of Reading and the university campus.
There will be road closures to allow the event to take place and you can find the latest travel information on the Reading Half Marathon website.
There will also be some changes to local bus services, which you can see on the Reading Buses website.
SGN works in Crowthorne
Following multiple leaks in the gas network, SGN are replacing the old metal gas pipes with new plastic pipes and are due to finish their current works on New Wokingham Road by 14 April.
As they have finished ahead of schedule they will be carrying out additional works on Nine Mile Ride between New Wokingham Road and the railway bridge.
The works on Nine Mile Ride will not start until New Wokingham Road is clear of traffic management.
Rolling temporary traffic lights will be in place during the works between New Wokingham Road and the railway bridge, which are due to finish at the end of August.
For more information contact SGN directly on their careline on 0800 912 1700 or email customer@sgn.co.uk.

- Get ad-hoc maintenance advice from our instructor
The course costs £11 to attend and is currently on offer on Friday 19 April in Woodley from 12.30pm to 3.30pm and Monday 22 April in Winnersh from 10am to 1pm.
