Everything really is awesome at annual LEGO show
The fifth annual Reading Brick Show is taking place in Lower Earley, bringing together a huge collection of amazing LEGO designs.
One of the largest shows of its kind in the UK, you can visit Loddon Valley Leisure Centre on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April to see a range of creations from talented builders.
There will be fun and games for all ages, including robot battles, downhill racetrack, building tables and more.
All tickets are £10 per person. There are three sessions per day and your ticket is valid for the three-hour period shown on your ticket.
Take part in charity walk around Wokingham
Wokingham Lions is hosting The Wokingham Walk, a charity walk with routes of five, ten and 15 miles, including an accessible five-mile route.
The event starts and finishes at Elms Field in Wokingham and takes place on Sunday 28 April. There is a rolling start time from 9am to 10.30am and the finish is manned until 5pm.
Registration for the walk is now open. The walk costs are:
- Aged 18-years-old - £15
- Aged 12 to 17-years-old - £5
- Under 12-years-old - Free
You can simply walk for fun or get sponsored and start a fundraising page for a cause close to your heart.

Critically-acclaimed local poet's talk on new collection
Join us at Wokingham Library as local poet Susan Utting reads from her newly-published, fifth collection of poems, The Colour of Rain.
She will be visiting the library on Saturday 6 April and there will be a book signing and a question and answer session.
Susan is the originator of Reading’s long-running, acclaimed Poets’ Café. She has had lots of poems published and won lots of prizes. These include an Arts Council Laureateship, a Poetry Business Prize and The Berkshire Poetry Prize.
She taught poetry and creative writing at Reading and Oxford universities for more than 17 years and now works freelance as a mentor and poetry performer
This is a free event, which runs from 2pm to 3pm and booking is not required.
Lend your expertise to nature recovery strategy
Do you want to play a part in shaping a strategy that will support nature?
Berkshire's Local Nature Strategy team is looking for residents, community groups, charities and schools to be involved.
Natural England is working with local authorities to make priorities for nature recovery and together they will cover the country to form a nature recovery network.
A series of engagement events are being held, including one at Maiden Place Community Centre in Lower Earley on Saturday 20 April. This event runs from 10am to 1pm and it is free to attend.
You will find out more about the strategy and hear from local groups that already do amazing work locally. A maximum of two people from an organisation can attend this event.

Weave your way through techniques at open day
The Berkshire Guild of Spinners, Weavers & Dyers is having its annual open day on Saturday 20 April.
Join them at Charvil Village Hall from 11am to 3pm and take a look at the exhibition and techniques used by members.
There will be the chance to have a go yourself, where you can try out weaving, braiding, colour blending, drop spindling and solar dyeing.
Entry is free and you can also pick up items for sale on the day. This event is also suitable for children and refreshments will be served.
Course to help guide you through the menopause
Move through Menopause is a 12-week course, providing the opportunity for conversation and physical activity in a safe and supportive environment.
Run by Places Leisure, weekly sessions are starting on Tuesday 16 April, running from 7pm to 8.30pm at Wokingham Leisure Centre.
This course will also be starting at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre on Thursday 9 May.
If you are already a Places Leisure member, you can sign up to the course for £40. It is £90 for non-members and this includes access to all other Places Leisure facilities.
Topics within this course include symptom management, hormones, myth busting, mental health and nutrition.
