 Elsie the real 'dancing queen' of comedy bingo night
A comedy bingo night is being held at St Crispin's School in Wokingham to raise money for First Days Children's Charity.
If you think you are turning up for a regular bingo night, think again, as the evening is being hosted by the funny and unique Elsie Crumpet.
Performed by Karen Dalton, Elsie is known to sing, break dance and create havoc, but she also knows how to run a good bingo night.
Rounds will include: Speed Party Dance Bingo; Name That Tune; Forfeit Time; Risk it for a biscuit!; You Sing, I Sing!; Spin the Wheel; and Jackpot Bingo.
First Days Children's Charity works to reduce the effects of poverty on children, helping people across Berkshire.
No previous experience is required and tickets are priced at £12 per person, but you must be aged 18 or over to attend.
 Author talks on a secret agent and fairground drama
Louise Morrish
Come and meet author Louise Morrish, who will be talking about her prize-winning novel Operation Moonlight at Wokingham Library on Thursday 7 March. The book tells the story of a female wartime secret agent. Louise finds inspiration for her stories in the real-life adventures of women in the past and copies of her book will be available for purchase on the day. This is a free event, which runs from 11am to 12 noon, but places must be booked.
Essie Fox
A bestselling author of historical novels, Essie Fox is coming to talk about her latest gothic novel on Wednesday 13 March. Join us at Wokingham Library from 2pm to 3pm to find out more about The Fascination and for a book signing. The novel is about three young friends who find themselves swept up in the dangers and dramas of Victorian rural fairgrounds. This is a free event, but places must be booked.

 Take in stunning sights at country park annual run
There is still time to enter the Wokingham 5km/10km, which is returning to Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst for a sixth year.
You can choose to run either one or two laps of the park, which features a flat course and amazing views of the lake and wildlife.
Organised by Barnes Fitness, the event starts at 10am and it costs £21 to run 5km and £23 to run 10km. You will receive a bespoke event medal and you result is instantly available through app-based timing.
It is suitable for runners of all abilities and buggy runners are allowed, as long as the buggy is deemed suitable for running off-road and the child remains strapped in for the duration.
The online entry deadline is 12 noon on Saturday 16 March and entries on the day are available, but cost an extra £3. You can find out more and sign up on the Barnes Fitness website.
 Do the locomotion! Miniature railway rides returning
Pinewood Miniature Railway is set to re-open on Sunday 17 March following winter maintenance.
Located at Pinewood Centre in Wokingham, the railway runs for nearly half a mile through a woodland setting and is a great experience for families.
Trains will be running from 1.30pm to 4pm and there is no booking. Just turn up on the day, with trains departing every few minutes.
Rides cost £1.50 each, or you can purchase a multi-ride ticket, which gives four rides. Children under three travel free.
If you are unable to attend on this date, the railway is now open on the third Sunday of the month through to October.
 You don't want to miss out on this egg-citing treat
Explore the beautiful surroundings of Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst as you search for hidden eggs along a 2km trail.
Keep an eye out for clues that will lead you to the ultimate prize - a delicious chocolate treat.
The trail will be open from Friday 29 March to Friday 12 April and it costs £2.50 per child. Tickets can be bought online, with timings from 9am to 5pm (last admission is 4pm).
To participate, simply visit the Dinton Activity Centre reception to collect your map. Once you've completed the hunt, return to reception to claim your reward.
 Don't let a puncture slow you down with bike course
A session is being held to help people learn more about the basics of maintaining their bicycle.
The event is being held on Friday 22 March from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at the Scout Hall at Pinewood Leisure Centre in Wokingham.
It costs £10 to take part and you will learn how to:
- Check your bike
- Change an inner tube
- Repair a puncture
- Clean and oil your chain
This session is aimed at people with little or no experience of bike maintenance. It will not cover more complex repair issues that would typically require help from a specialist shop.
