Wokingham Borough Connect
If you've already paid for our garden waste collection service from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, or received a green-coloured sticker for your brown bin, please ignore this reminder.
Renew your garden waste collection service
Thank you for subscribing to our garden waste collection service last year.
This year, the service will run from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. If you’d like us to continue collecting your garden waste, you can now pay for the service by clicking the blue button below:
If you choose not to renew your garden waste subscription, your brown bin won't be collected from April, and we won't remove your unwanted garden waste bin.
Cost of the service
As inflation remains high, collecting and disposing of garden waste now costs us more. Because of this, we are increasing the cost for our 12-month collection service from £80 to £86 for the period of 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
If you renew the service any later in the year, the cost will be as follows:
- 1 April to 31 August- £86
- 1 September to 31 December - £55
What's next
After you've made the payment for the service, we'll send you a green-coloured sticker. If you've ordered another bin, we'll deliver it with a sticker already on it.
It may take up to 10 days for your sticker to arrive, so please make sure you place the order in plenty of time before your first collection in April.
Place the sticker on the back of the bin and put it out with the handles and sticker facing the road, so the crews can clearly see that you have paid.
If you don’t have a green sticker on your bin in April, our crews won't empty your garden waste bin.
Replacement of broken or missing bins
From 1 April, we are introducing a charge for the replacement of broken or missing bins. This charge covers the cost of purchase and delivery of the bins. The new charge will be £40 per bin.
To make your bin last longer, make sure that it isn’t overfull, as compacted waste can damage the bin during the emptying process.
We advise residents to place your house number or house name clearly on your bin.
We'll replace free of charge any bins that have fallen into the vehicle or been damaged by the crew on collection day and reported by crews.
