Finchampstead Neighbourhood Plan goes to referendum
Residents of Finchampstead parish will be able to vote on the Finchampstead Neighbourhood Plan on Thursday 7 September 2023.
Finchampstead Parish Council and volunteers have been working on a neighbourhood plan for a number of years and submitted their proposed plan to Wokingham Borough Council in August 2022. The plan aims to manage the development coming forward in the area to better reflect the wishes of the community.
Following an independent examination, the Finchampstead Neighbourhood Plan has been found to meet the basic conditions, subject to a number of modifications, and can now proceed to referendum.
The question that will be asked in the referendum is:
"Do you want Wokingham Borough Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Finchampstead parish to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
Find out more about the referendum process, how and where to vote, and what happens next, in the Finchampstead Neighbourhood Plan Information Statement.
You can take a look at all of the plan documents online on our neighbourhood planning page.
