Wokingham Borough Connect
Have your say on future of St Crispin's Leisure Centre
We are looking for your feedback on the future of St Crispin's Leisure Centre in Wokingham.
Unfortunately, user numbers have been declining at the centre for a number of years and this has been made worse by the opening of Wokingham Leisure Centre at the Carnival Hub in the summer of 2022.
Therefore, we are considering whether the centre should remain open, or if an alternative use should be found for the site.
We have invested significantly in leisure facilities in recent years and will continue to do so. We would like to reassure residents this is not a cost cutting exercise, but is about ensuring the best community use for this asset.
The consultation will gather information to help us make a decision and feedback will be actively considered before any decision is made.
If you would like to ask questions about this consultation, we are holding drop-in sessions at St Crispin's Leisure Centre on the below dates:
- Tuesday 18 July - 12 noon to 1.30pm
- Tuesday 18 July - 2pm to 3pm (additional session reserved for members of the regular squash league at St Crispin's Leisure Centre)
- Thursday 20 July - 5.30pm to 7pm
- Saturday 22 July - 12 noon to 1.30pm
- Friday 28 July - 5.30pm to 7pm
- Saturday 30 July - 12 noon to 1.30pm
The consultation closes on 4 September. To take part, click the button below.
