Half-term help for families
The May half-term has the potential to be expensive, including activities and keeping children fed.
Luckily businesses around the country have free or discounted meals for kids during the school holidays.
Here’s some examples, but remember to check the terms and conditions before you go anywhere.
Bill's – kids eat free
Up to two kids can eat free all day from Monday 29 May to Friday 2 June, if one adult orders any main dish (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

The Real Greek – kids eat free on Sundays
Available from Sunday 28 May until Sunday 4 June 2023. One free kid's meal per adult only. Each adult to spend £10 or more to qualify for one free kid's meal. Available to all children under 12.

Morrisons café – kids eat free
Kids aged under 16 eat for free at any Morrisons café when an adult spends £4.99 or more on a meal.

Yo Sushi – kids under 10 eat free
From the 29 May kids eat free all day when dining with a full-paying adult (minimum £10 spend). Each child can have one child’s bento box for free.

Bluegrass BBQ – kids eat free all day, every day
Free kid's main and dessert, all day from 26 May to 4 June with any dining adult.

Dobbies Garden Centres – kids eat free
Kids eat free with an adult main meal after 12 noon. Choose from kids' lunch menu or pick ‘n’ mix meal, served with a drink.

Bella Italia – kids eat for £1
Kids eat for £1 with the purchase of every adult main from 4pm to 6pm on Monday to Thursday. Meals are suitable for two to 11 year olds.

Asda family café – kids eat for £1
Range of offers available:
- Free baby food pouch for babies under 18 months with any purchase
- Children up to age 16 can eat for just £1 at any time of day in Asda Cafés, seven days a week, with no minimum adult spend required
- 10 per cent off for people aged 60 and over on Wednesdays

Hungry Horse – kids eat for £1 on Mondays
Kids eat for £1 on Mondays. Selected kids' meals for just £1 and larger meals for only £1.50

Premier Inn breakfast – kids eat free
When an adult orders a full Premier Inn Breakfast or a Meal Deal, up to two under 16s eat breakfast for free.

Café Rouge – kids eat free
Monday 22 May until Sunday 4 June, children can enjoy 2 or 3 lunch or dinner courses from the kid's menu for free, with the purchase of any adult main.

Tesco Café - kids eat free
From 29 May to 2 June, children can enjoy a free kid's meal, when an adult buys any item in a Tesco Café.

TGI Fridays – kids eat free at half term
Must be a Stripes Rewards member. Kids eat free when you order an adult’s main meal. Applies 26 May to 4 June.

Wokingham Borough has dozens of nature parks and outdoor areas you can enjoy.

This grant is designed to help residents to pay their bills or keep food on the table, as rising costs are impacting everyone.
