Wokingham Borough Connect
 Annual road maintenance programme continues
Our annual maintenance programme continues with all microasphalt resurfacing works now complete.
This is a preventative maintenance treatment, used to seal the existing road surface, improve the texture and help water evaporate, prolonging the life of the road by up to ten years.
This week the team started the surface dressing phase of our programme across the borough including works in Finchampstead, Swallowfield and Shinfield. This is a different treatment to the microasphalt as it seals the road surface from water while also enhancing its skid resistance.
Full details of where our team are working this month can be found on our website.
As always, works are weather dependent and subject to change but the signage on site of the works will display up to date information if changes do occur.
Bling your bike for the King
There's still time to enter our 'Bling your bike for the King' competition which is being run by our My Journey Team to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
To take part all you need to do is decorated your bike or scooter and then take a photo and send it to our My Journey Team before Sunday 4 June.
There are King's Coronation commemorative coins up for grabs, both a £5 and a 50p, for those who come in first and second respectively, plus the team will also be giving out goodie bags to other blinged up bikes and scooters that catch their eye.
