If you've already paid for this year's garden waste collection service or received an orange-coloured sticker for your brown bin, please ignore this reminder.
Renew your garden waste collection service
Thank you for subscribing to our garden waste collection service last year.
This year, the service will run from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024. If you’d like us to continue collecting your garden waste, you can now pay for the service by clicking the button below.
If you need support or have a query, call 0118 974 6000 and select 'waste'.
Cost of the service
As inflation remains high, collecting and disposing of garden waste now costs us more. Because of this, we are increasing the cost for our 12-month service from £70 to £80 for the period of 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
Last year, some of our customers were eligible for a 10-month subscription at £60 due to the disruptions to their previous year’s collections because of the Covid-19 pandemic and the national driver shortage.
This year, all our customers are only being offered a 12-month service as there were no disruptions last year.
If you order the service any later in the year, the cost will be as follows:
- 1 April to 31 June - £80
- 1 July to 30 September - £60
- 1 October to 31 December - £40
What's next
After you've made the payment for the service, we will send you an orange-coloured sticker to put on your brown bin. If you have ordered another bin, we will deliver it with a sticker already on it.
It may take up to 10 days for your sticker to arrive, so please make sure you place the order in plenty of time before your first collection in April.
If you don’t have an orange sticker on your bin in April, our crew will not be able to collect your garden waste.
If you order a brown bin by 15 March, it will be delivered to you by 1 April. If your order is placed after this date, you will receive the bin within 15 working days.
Broken brown bins
If your brown bin is broken but can still be used, please still opt into the service to receive your orange sticker. You will be able to order a replacement bin on our website from May onwards. We will arrange to exchange your broken bin with a new one that already has an orange sticker on it.
However, if your bin is broken and cannot be used any more or it is missing, contact us by emailing customerservice@wokingham.gov.uk. Please include a photo showing the damage on your bin, and we will then deliver a new one to you.
