Author talk and book signing at Wokingham Library
Local bestselling author Anita Frank will be visiting Wokingham Library on Saturday 25 February to talk about her career as a novelist and read from her books. This is a free event and will run from 2pm to 3pm.
Frank writes historical fiction and her highly-praised work includes The Lost Ones and The Return. Her third novel, The Good Liars, is due out later this year.
The session includes a book signing, with her titles available to buy. Places must be booked in advance. To book, visit our library event website, or call (0118) 9781368.

The sessions are designed to be fun and interactive, helping to build confidence and self-esteem, whilst providing a great opportunity to meet new people.
The sessions are available for 10 to 14-year-olds and take place on Thursdays during term-time from 4pm to 5pm at the Wokingham Leisure Centre @ Carnival Hub.

Children will have their say at youth politics event
Wokingham Youth MP Holly Mackinnon is on a mission to ensure younger residents have their say on decisions made about their community.
After being inspired last year by the Youth Parliament’s annual debate in the House of Commons, we will be hosting our first Youth Politics event on Thursday 23 February, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, in the Council Chambers at our Civic Offices in Wokingham.
This event will be a chance for secondary school pupils to come along and learn about politics from councillors representing different parties in the borough. They will debate issues, chosen by Wokingham Youth Council, discuss their parties’ values and answer questions.
For further information about the event and to book tickets visit our Youth Politics Event page.
