Fill your heart with joyful walk around Dinton lake
This coming February half-term, bring your little ones over to Dinton Pastures Country Park and immerse yourself in nature filled with beautiful hearts.
For the first time, First Days Children's Charity is creating a Heart Trail at Dinton Pastures. It will be a 2.5km trail around the White Swan Lake, filled with hearts crocheted by the Barkham Hookers.
From Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 February, you can buy a map for a suggested donation of £3 from Dinton Nature Buggies or Dinton Adventure Golf, and follow the trail around the White Swan Lake to find letters that spell out a secret word. You will also be able to learn fun facts about your heart as you go along.
After completing the secret word, simply head back to Dinton Nature Buggies or Dinton Adventure Golf to receive your treat.
All funds raised from this activity will go towards supporting children in need and their families in Berkshire.
Get your bicycle tested for free by Dr Bike
Has it been a while since you had your bicycle looked at? Dr Bike will be carrying out free checks at Woodford Park Leisure Centre in Woodley.
The session will run from 2.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday 9 February and you have to book a slot in order to drop off your bike.
Dr Bike will make sure your bicycle is roadworthy, diagnose any issues and he will fix any problems for free where possible.
If there are any parts needed or any extra requirements, he will let you know and give you advice on options to get your bike ready to ride.
If you are unable to make this session, another one is scheduled at the same location and time on Thursday 23 February.

Weekly run at Dinton open to all abilities
Do you fancy a weekly 5km run at Dinton Pastures?
Dinton Pastures parkrun is a free event organised by volunteers every Saturday at 9am. The route is a two-lap course starting at the bottom corner of White Swan Lake in the country park.
It is not a race against other runners. You can take part for your own enjoyment and at your own pace. There is also a post parkrun coffee every week in The Coffee House.
You are welcome to join with your dog, but please make sure it is on a short, handheld, non-extendable lead and within reach at all times. Registration is free and only needs to be done once online. You will receive a registration email with a scannable barcode for recording your results each time.
Organised by parkrun UK, a not-for-profit organisation, the event encourages everyone, regardless of their ability, to run, jog or walk together regularly and enjoy the beautiful Dinton Pastures.
