Berkshire Banshees Wheelchair Rugby Club is developing a youth team and are offering free wheelchair rugby taster sessions for boys and girls aged between eight and 16-years-old who have either a physical, learning or neurological condition.
The sessions, delivered by CH Rugby and Berkshire Banshees, take place on Sunday 15 and 22 January 2023 at Reading Blue Coat School in Sonning. Wheelchairs and gloves will be provided.
The aim of the free taster sessions is to establish a youth wheelchair rugby team, who will work alongside the Banshees adult team (for men and women aged 16+). The club welcomes players who have never played before or existing players who would like to play again, whilst offering a great opportunity to keep active and make new friends.

We are excited to announce the launch of walking netball sessions this week at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre in Lower Earley.
Walking netball is a slower paced, low impact format of the game ideal for all ages and abilities, and is the perfect way to remain involved with the game and meet new people, whilst staying active.
The sessions are designed to be fun and flexible and largely follow the same formats as any other netball session, including a warm-up, mini-games and drills followed by a friendly game.
These are open to women of all ages and abilities and start this Wednesday, running every week during term-time from 10.30am to 11.30am. Each session costs £4 and can be booked on the Loddon Valley Leisure Centre website.

Mind in Berkshire, run by Oxfordshire Mind wellbeing workers, is running a series of free, virtual mental health sessions throughout the year aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing for Wokingham Borough residents.
If you have completed mental health first aid training and want to make a difference to residents, sign up to the next session which takes place on Tuesday 17 January, 10am to 11.30am.
The online forum offers a space to network with other mental health first aiders to share experiences and challenges and discuss how your invaluable skills, individually and collectively, can be used as a force for good in the future.
There will be opportunities for mental health first aiders to check in with each other around their own wellbeing, discuss and reflect on recent experiences of using mental health first aid skills and to also participate in a ‘skills refresher’ session.
To sign up, visit the Eventbrite booking website.
