Dinton Santa Dash (17 Dec)
Registration is closing midday next Monday, 12 December.
This festive run, organised by Barnes Fitness on Saturday 17 December, is something not to be missed.
You will have a chance to dress in a Santa suit and run with your children or friends on a beautiful path around the country park for 2km or 5km, depending on your choice.
The event is not "timed" and is purely for fun and charity. £2 of every entry will be donated to First Day's Children's Charity for giving out warm beds to children in need.
Christmas table wreath workshop (18 Dec)
For a perfect centrepiece on your Christmas dinner or coffee table, look no further than the Christmas table wreath workshop by Polly's Garden at Dinton Activity Centre.
Scheduled for Sunday 18 December, from 10am to 12noon, the workshop will provide you with everything you need to make a table wreath, including seasonal foliage, fresh flowers and festive dried elements like cones, cinnamon and orange slices.
The cost is £50 per person. Email Sally at Polly's Garden to reserve a place.
Christmas crafting (19 to 23 Dec)
There are not many timeslots left for the crafting sessions in Coffee Deck café at Dinton Activity Centre.
From 19 to 23 December (Monday to Friday), for just £4, you can get a DIY pack for your child to make a Christmas decoration of either a reindeer and a tree or a snowman. The price includes reserving a table space in the café for 30 minutes to do the artwork.

Let's party!
Have you ever thought of having an outdoor adventure party?
You can now book for an activity party at Dinton Pastures Country Park to celebrate your child's birthday or simply for someone who loves being outdoors.
Parties for children is offered on Sunday only, allowing young ones to spend half a day on land or in water to do a range of activities like stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, archery, climbing and crate stacking. There is also an option of a fun indoor climbing evening.
Every session is led by a qualified and experienced instructor from Dinton Activity Centre. Basic tuition will be provided to get everyone started, followed by different games and challenges.
Parties for adults are equally exciting and adventurous. You can choose a minimum of two land and/or water activities for your event, including canoeing, kayaking, archery, rock climbing and more. Our experienced instructors will guide you and provide instructions tailored to your group.
There can also be team challenges where you can work your way through a selection of fun teamwork-based tasks that require strategical implementation.

Branching out for help protecting our tress
We want your thoughts on our plans to clearly outline how existing trees are cared for, and new ones are planted, in the borough.
We’re consulting until 22 January on our draft tree strategy, which we’re drawing up to protect the environment and biodiversity as well as local people’s health.
The proposals include better co-ordination of how our trees are managed, developers’ duties towards planting and how you can help us protect trees with historic or community value.
They also support our efforts to increase planting on public and private land, in line with our climate emergency action plan, to offset carbon emissions and a recent decline in individual trees.
For help completing the survey on our Engage platform, or to view and respond in other formats like paper or electronic (PDF), call us on 0118 974 6000 or visit one of our libraries.
