Spotlight: Working well with words
This week's Business Spotlight falls on Eurasian Linguistics based at Albany House in Wokingham.
Eurasian's mission is to be the most flexible, trusted and reliable partner by providing expert linguistic and cultural support to a global audience.
The company currently offers over 40 languages for translation, interpreting and localisation across legal and commercial sectors. It is delighted to have played a role in the BBC's ''Frozen Planet II'' series as a language service provider.
A well-established company and having translated over 5 million words since its inception, Eurasian believes even the shortest message needs to be heard, and its nuances understood properly, in any language. Their principle is ''working well with words''.
Want to learn more about Eurasian's services? All you have to do is ask Eurasian Linguistics.
Embrace the opportunities of volunteering
A damning statistic from Covid-19 is that volunteering has dropped 40 per cent across the Borough. All stakeholders are looking at how to get the numbers back up and working with business community proves to be an effective way.
There are many sides to volunteering, from individual to group activities. Volunteers can also work out of office hours, as many charities require support in the evenings and at weekends. Matched to that are many worthy causes, but the key is to provide regular support.
A breakfast event will be held for businesses in Wokingham to better understand the range of ongoing volunteering opportunities available. Here are the details:
Event: Community/Voluntary Sector - Business Event
Date: Tuesday 29 November 2022
Time: 8.00am to 10.00am
Location: Wokingham Town Hall, Market Place, RG40 1AS
A number of local charities will be present to introduce their work and explain their challenges ahead. The business community in Wokingham will be able to learn more on how to embrace these opportunities to better inform your employees about volunteering.
Let's get the conversations started. Register to join this breakfast event for free by clicking this button.
