Carnival Hub named as Finalist for award
We are delighted that our flagship Carnival Hub, has been named as a finalist for the Thames Valley Property Awards.
The multi-million-pound hub, which is home to a leisure centre and library, opened its doors in July. It is in the running to win Development of the Year at the awards, which take place on Wednesday 16 November.
The development was part of the regeneration of Wokingham town centre and saw the demolition and replacement of the former leisure centre, which was no longer fit for purpose or in line with the council’s environmental aims.
We have been nominated for the award by Roberts Limbrick, the sport, leisure and community architects who also worked with contractor Pelikaan Construction Ltd and project managers Faithful and Gould, while HLM were the master planning and landscape architects.

Book your vaccinations this winter
Protection provided by Covid-19 vaccines decreases over time and flu viruses can change every year. These can both spread more easily during the winter when mixing indoors. Vaccines are the best protection we have against these viruses that can cause serious illness.
Flu can be serious for your child and they can also spread it to vulnerable family and friends. Children aged two or three before September are eligible for a free flu nasal spray vaccine this year. You can book an appointment with your GP surgery.
In addition, all primary school children will be offered a free flu nasal spray vaccine this year. Look out for your child’s consent form in their book bags, sign it and return it straight away.
If you are pregnant, flu and Covid-19 can cause serious harm to you and your baby. Vaccinations are free and offer the best protection against these viruses. Book your appointments now with your GP surgery or pharmacist, or ask your maternity services.
Some long-term health conditions can put you at increased risk of hospitalisation from respiratory illnesses. If you have certain health conditions, you could be eligible for a free flu vaccine and a Covid-19 booster jab. These are both guaranteed if you are aged 65 and over.

They will also be able to offer children and young people of primary school age a flu vaccine on board, as well as other vaccines for those up to the age of 18.
The bus features state-of-the-art facilities and a ramp to allow easier access for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. There will be a private curtained area, which can be converted to a sensory area to provide a calm space for anyone who is anxious.
