Wokingham Borough Connect
Consultation is open. Have your say....
Transport for South East has set out its 30 year vision for the region.
It aligns with and supports central Government priorities to decarbonise the transport system, level-up left-behind communities and facilitate sustainable economic growth in the south east.
The plan has been developed in partnership and written for and on the behalf of the wider area’s residents, communities, businesses and political representatives.
The public consultation remains open until 12 September. We invite anyone who lives, works, travels through or visits the region to respond.
Get on your bike - September challenge
Our active travel My Journey team is supporting the Love to Cycle September challenge.
The scheme is calling on at least 1,000 businesses, charities or community groups to saddle up and help the borough to rack up at least 150,000 miles throughout the month.
It's open to everybody 13 or older who lives, works or studies in the borough.
A new bike of the winner's choice, worth up to £1,000, is up for grabs in a prize draw for anyone who registers before 1 September. In total, there are 700 prizes on offer so you and your workplace has plenty of chances at prizes.
Your contribution is valuable to this research
The survey is part of a policy research project led by the Institute for Employment Studies on behalf of the Health Foundation.
It is focused on understanding how young people (aged 16 to 25) can be supported into good quality work through better policy and practice.
The survey will ask you about your views and experiences around youth employment, including your views on good quality work, recruitment, workplace practices, challenges and support needs.
Check the business webpages
In addition to business support being promoted through the Business Matters e-bulletin, the team has content on the council website to help you.
