If you live in the EDEN or BARROW areas there will be no changes to collections across the Easter weekend. Our teams in these areas will be working on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
If you live in the SOUTH LAKELAND area there will be no changes to this week's rounds. However, if your scheduled round is on Easter Monday, it will take place the following day (Tuesday 22 April). All collections through the week will then be one day later than usual.
This Easter, remember to recycle all your aluminium packaging.
80 million Easter eggs are sold in the UK each year. Most are wrapped in recyclable aluminium foil! Remember to MUNCH, SCRUNCH and RECYCLE.
Scrunch all you chocolate foil together into a ball and pop it into your recycling with drinks cans, etc. Thank you.
With more than 700 children in care across Cumbria, we have an urgent need for more people to come forward as foster carers.
If you've been thinking about fostering but aren't sure where to start, our online information events offer a great chance to find out more from the comfort of your home, whether you're new to the idea or have been researching it for a while. The events will cover key aspects such as training, support, finances, and the children who need homes.
Attend our upcoming event:
-
Wednesday 23 April – Join our online fostering information event from 6pm to 7pm and listen to a short presentation about fostering and hear from our local foster carers. To register for our event visit our event booking page.

A South Cumbrian recently shared their heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care their partner received at Parkview Gardens Residential Care Home in Barrow during a six-week stay after leaving Furness General Hospital.
“I knew they were safe while there. They loved it. Parkview is relatively new and looks welcoming – everything is spotless, white and bright – and the staff were brilliant.”
We're proud to be part of a community where compassion and quality care go hand in hand.
