Today is the world’s biggest celebration of children and young people with care experience.
Become -The charity for children in care and young care leavers have been leading the campaign in England since 2015 and their theme this year is Voices that Care.
Some of our teams got involved with the campaign to show how much it means to them. Here’s what they said:
‘I care because all children need somewhere and someone that is home’.
‘I care that you have the best start in life’.
‘’I care because children in care don’t tend to live with their Mums, Dads and Aunties and Uncles and this is a foundation for life, so I want to help those that don’t have it’’
“I care that every young person has the love, support and kindness to fulfil their full potential.”
It’s our role to celebrate our cared for children & young people’s successes, encouraging them to enjoy a good life, and thrive, as any good parent would.
When making decisions for our children and young people, we should always ask ourselves ‘would this be good enough for my child?’
Why not show you care and use the hashtag #CareDay on your social media?
