We are excited to share with you the Summer edition of our magazine for residents.
The aim is to keep residents informed about what’s happening across Westmorland and Furness. The magazine provides updates on our work and local issues.
In this Summer edition we have a number of features including major extension investments for local schools, plus you can learn more about our climate plans and you can read all about the multi-million pound scheme to make the iconic Kirkstone Pass safer and better protected.
Thinking about adoption? Cumbria Adoption’s summer online information events are now open for booking.
The events are a great first step on the journey to providing a loving, stable family to a Cumbrian child.
At each event, which last about an hour, our Cumbria Adoption team will give an overview of the whole adoption process, tell you about the Cumbrian children who are typically waiting to be adopted, what it takes to be an adopter, and the support you will receive both during the process and post-adoption.
A recent adopter also shares their experience of adopting a child and the challenges and rewards of becoming an adoptive parent.
Our next events are:
- Wednesday 12 June - 6pm
- Tuesday 23 July - 6pm
- Saturday 10 August - 10am
To register please email events@cumbriaadoption.org.uk stating the date you would like to attend and including your full name and the name of any partner also attending.
Cumbria Adoption provides adoption services for Cumberland Council and Westmorland & Furness Council. For more information about adopting with Cumbria Adoption, visit the Cumbria Adoption website.
