The council is working alongside Kirkby Stephen Town Council and the Cricket Club to develop a new playground on the ground adjacent to the cricket pitch.
The aim is to create an exciting and challenging play experience for children of all abilities up to the age of 14 which would be a destination playground where children and their families could spend the day enjoying the playground, walks along the river and the incredible views from this location.
Complete the short survey to share your views on how to make this a great experience for local residents and visitors to the town.
The survey closes Wednesday 15 May at 5pm.

Whilst you're out and about enjoying our wonderful area this weekend, it is extremely important to respect the parking regulations we have in place across our towns and rural areas to keep traffic flowing smoothly, leaving plenty of space for emergency services to pass through.
When choosing a parking spot, please do so with others in mind and remember:
- Leave enough space for everyone by only taking up one space
- Avoid parking on grass verges to protect our wildlife and landscape
- Do not not block driveways, access points or park on dropped kerbs to ensure they are accessible at all times.
Our enforcement officers will be out across the area issuing tickets to those who are causing an obstruction.

Windermere Ferry is absolutely gleaming after receiving a coat of fresh paint during week three of our MCA Inspection.
The ferry was last fully repainted externally ten or more years ago.
During this refit the entire external hull, deck, deckhouse, and fittings are being prepared and repainted with specialist marine coatings.
In addition to the external painting, the passenger saloon interior has been repainted and the deck prepared for coating with a non-slip coating, and the wheelhouse repainted internally. Within the seven hull compartments, areas of damaged coating and corrosion are going to be prepared and recoated.
The final coats of which will return Mallard to her long-standing colour scheme.
This week, the hydraulic pumps and motors that power the ferry and the four hydraulic rams that operate the ramps have been stripped and inspected and a package of servicing, refurbishment and parts replacement agreed with the specialist contractor.
There's lots of work still to do, but progress this week has kept the refit programme on track to complete by Friday 24 May.
