Online events are being held next week to highlight upcoming opportunities for apprentices with Westmorland and Furness Council.
The council expects to recruit dozens of new apprentices into roles this year.
Past vacancies have included civil engineering, highways engineering, business administration, project management, accountancy and care services. Recruitment for specific roles will begin in March.
During National Apprenticeship Week, 5-11 February, the Apprenticeships Team will be hosting two ‘More than you think’ online information sessions on Tuesday 6 February and Thursday 8 February, both at 5pm.
The online events will provide help and advice to those starting a new career and considering the apprenticeship route. The events are aimed at young people, parents and carers who are interested in finding out more about the options available.
More details can be found online at Cumbriaapprenticeships.org.uk
Those with an interest are also advised to follow our social media channels throughout next week for more information and case studies of successful applicants.

Measles is very infectious and can spread rapidly among communities, such as schools, if people have not had at least one dose of the MMR vaccine.
Symptoms of measles include high fever, runny nose, cough, red and watery eyes, small red spots with a bluish-white centre inside the mouth. A rash can appear later, usually on the face, upper neck, hands and feet, fading after 5 to 6 days.
It's important to make sure your family's vaccination is up to date. The MMR vaccine is safe, effective and protects against this infection.
If you or any of your children have not had 2 doses of the MMR vaccine, please ask your GP surgery for a vaccination appointment. Anyone with symptoms is also being advised to stay at home and phone their GP or NHS 111 for advice.
