Windermere Ferry will be out of service for up to 7 hours on Tuesday 5 December for the crew to carry out essential maintenance.
The ferry service will stop operation at 08:50am and we anticipate will return to service at approximately 4pm on the same day.
Throughout the day, the crew will keep service users updated on progress on the Windermere Ferry X (formerly Twitter) account.
If you are a regular Ferry user, we recommend you plan your journey accordingly and use an alternative route.
We have been advised that an itinerant tradesman has been door knocking in the area looking to do odd jobs (gardening, gutters, drives etc).
Please say No to doorstep cold calling trades people, use local recommended trades and check on vulnerable friends and relatives who suddenly get unplanned work done.
