We met with all our partners today to agree a fresh and ambitious vision for Westmorland and Furness.
We are committed to making our area a great place to live, work and thrive and our council plan sets out our vision, our values, and our key priorities for the next five years.
We need to do this together if we are really going to make a difference.
The fencing is down and our new play park at Sherborne Avenue in Barrow is now open!
We have completed works on the park in the last year, including installing new safety surfaces, new perimeter fencing and seeding the whole site and now it’s looking fantastic and ready to provide hours of fun play for local children.
Two new benches and two litter bins are due to be added in the next couple of weeks.
This annual campaign will encourage smokers to quit the habit this October - it is one of the best things a smoker can do for their health.
