Applicants must apply by Friday 18 August to be invited to Westmorland and Furness Council's first apprenticeship recruitment day.

Join the Summer Reading Challenge from Saturday 15 July.
The challenge begins Saturday 15 July 2023, and runs until mid-September. The challenge is simple; children aged between 4 - 11 read six books, or other literature of their choice, over the summer holidays and come back to the library to share what they’ve read. There is also a mini challenge for children aged 0-3 years.

Drop in to our Support Worker recruitment event in Kendal tomorrow!
The event will provide potential support workers the opportunity to find out more about being a support worker if they’re still unsure.
The event, hosted by Westmorland and Furness Council, will be held at Kendal Library on Saturday 15 July, from 10am to 1pm.
JOIN US at the launch event for the new Dementia Friendly Communities Partnership for Eden which will take place next week to highlight the small things everyone can do to make a big difference.
The event will offer dementia advice and support for residents and give local businesses and services the opportunity to learn about the changes they can make to support customers living with dementia.
This free drop-in event will take place at the Quaker Meeting House in Penrith on Wednesday 19 July, from 10am to 1pm.

Westmorland and Furness Council hosted a Landlord's Forum event at Penrith Town Hall on Thursday 6 July 2023.
The free event, held for local landlords, equipped attendees with the latest industry and regulatory knowledge to enable them to continue to prosper in the local housing sector.

A new bus pass giving young people greater freedom to travel for less in Westmorland and Furness and beyond is being launched this week.
The A2B Now card is a reduced fare bus travel card for 5-20 year olds living in Westmorland and Furness outside school travel times.
