Parliamentary elections are being held in West Berkshire tomorrow to vote for Members of Parliament for the Newbury and Reading West and Mid Berkshire constituencies.
In this bulletin you will find information to help you vote tomorrow and where to find the results when they are declared on Friday.
You can find out more about the candidates for your constituency here.
Voting in person
Polling stations are open tomorrow from 7am to 10pm. You can find your constituency and the location of your polling station on your poll card.
Alternatively, you can check on our website - simply visit our 'Find Your Polling Station' page and search by your postcode.
Please remember that to vote in person you will need to bring photo ID with you. You can check the list of accepted forms of voter ID on the Electoral Commission website.
Voting by proxy
You may already have requested to vote by proxy, but it's also possible in certain situations to request an emergency proxy vote until 5pm tomorrow (4 July) if your circumstances have changed since 5pm on 26 June. This is available if:
- you cannot vote in person because of a medical emergency or disability
- you cannot vote in person because of your employment
- the photo ID you were planning on using to vote has been lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed
- you’ve not yet received a new or replacement photo ID you’ve ordered
If you’re applying for an emergency proxy vote because of a medical emergency, disability or your employment, your application form must be countersigned by a medical professional or employer (appropriate person). Further information is given on the application form below.

Voting by post
If you still have your postal vote, you can take it to your local polling station or our Market Street office in Newbury. It will need to be with us by 10pm tomorrow (when polling stations close) to be counted.
If you have lost or spoilt your postal vote, or it hasn't arrived yet, you can apply for a replacement before 5pm tomorrow. To do this, please contact our Elections team.

For the first time, voters will be electing Members of Parliament for the new constituencies of Newbury, and Reading West and Mid Berkshire.
Since the general election in 2019, the two new constituencies have been created as part of a national boundary review to rebalance the number of electors in each area.
Votes will be counted overnight on Thursday (4 July) with the results to be declared early Friday morning. They'll be published on our website as soon as they are officially declared by the Acting Returning Officer, Nigel Lynn.
