The Household Support Fund has been extended until the end of September 2022 to support vulnerable households most in need of help with significantly rising living costs.
To date the fund has successfully helped support over 1,400 households to pay for energy bills, food and clothing. The funding has also supported 4,000 children across West Berkshire by providing Free School Meal vouchers, recognising the additional financial pressure during this time.
The funding is limited and will be made available to assist vulnerable residents, pensioners and children across West Berkshire.

It's Mental Health Awareness Week and a chance to think about how we look after ourselves.
However busy you are, sometimes you need to take some time and do something for yourself. You could read a book, or maybe you want to try something different? What about learning new recipes, having an activity to do with a friend or maybe popping on a pedometer and going for a walk?
Did you know you can find all of this and more in the new Wellbeing Bags from your local library?
You can now borrow a Wellbeing Bag for free from your local West Berkshire library.
The bags launch this week and are available with a selection of items at all libraries across West Berkshire. Grab a bag of support for your health and wellbeing this week.
Regeneration of the Council-owned London Road Industrial Estate (LRIE) in Newbury is part of our strategic commitment to deliver of a mixed-use site that delivers economic growth, an improved local environment within which to work, travel and live, and provides effective links to the town centre.
Work towards the economic regeneration of the LRIE in Newbury continues to progress with the results of the LRIE review expected to be considered by the Council’s Executive at a meeting in June 2022.
We're in the process of taking the next steps of planning how the estate will look-and-feel through continuous partnership working with local businesses, researching market demand, and consciously working towards the district’s ambition to be carbon neutral by 2030.
Our aspirations for the LRIE are very clear – it is an employment site that supports many local jobs and businesses, and its regeneration must be economic development led. Much has changed during the past few years, and the LRIE has the potential to deliver a range of economic, employment and environmental benefits for Newbury and the wider district.
For more information and to keep up to date on the progress of the regeneration of the London Road Industrial Estate, please visit our website: https://info.westberks.gov.uk/lrie.
