Are you thinking about booking a holiday abroad? Not sure what you will need to do, especially if you are looking at a half-term holiday? If you are looking to travel abroad, or if you, family or friend will be arriving in the UK after 11th February, the rules are changing. If you are fully vaccinated or under 18, you will no longer need to test on arrival to the UK. There will be a simplified Passenger Locator Form too; if you'd like to find out more, please visit gov.uk/travel-abroad
We've had very positive feedback on the clinics run at Lambourn recently.
We're delighted to be able to share information on other walk-in clinics that can offer a wide variety of vaccinations, including those for 12 to 15 year olds and the third dose for people with a weakened immune system.
You can find out more by visiting the Berkshire CCG website for the most up to date information.
Remember that you need to wait 28 days after having Covid-19 before receiving any of the vaccinations, including the Booster.
The NHS is looking for people eligible to consider coming forward for a world-first trial to find antiviral medicines to treat people with Covid-19. The study is home-based, lasts for only five days, the antivirals are oral capsules, and participants are free to withdraw at any time.
To be eligible, you must have received a positive test for COVID-19 and feel unwell with symptoms that started in the last five days, as well as being over 50, or 18-49 with an underlying medical condition. It's a world first opportunity to make a global impact and help us lives.
So visit panoramictrial.org to check if you're eligible and to find out how to sign up.

These included Lillie Howe, Dr Susan Millington, Suzanne Hubbard, David Carter and Newbury Road Club, who all provided exceptional support and assistance to our community during the pandemic.

Our Assisted Testing Team will be across the district this week to support residents, give advice on how to complete your tests, and provide more general information on Vaccinations and Boosters.
The assisted tests are great if you are unsure how to complete the tests, plus they do your test and then give you the result in 30 minutes.
You can find the testing team on:
- Monday 31 January - 9.00am to 12.00pm - Sainsburys, Calcot
- Monday 31 January - 1.30pm to 4.00pm - 6 Station Road, Pangbourne
- Tuesday 1 February - 9.00am to 12.00pm - Kennet Centre
- Wednesday 2 February - 2.30pm to 4.00pm - Speen Community Cafe
- Thursday 3 February - 1.30pm to 4.00pm - Greenham Community Centre
- Friday 4 February - 12.15pm to 3.30pm - Lambourn Church
We now have some kits in stock, but they can only give out one per person
If you are visiting your GP, hospital or vaccination centre or any healthcare setting, please take a Lateral Flow test if possible before attending.
and finally,
We all need to stay safe, protect ourselves and the people around us. The best way to do that is:
- get fully vaccinated, including the Booster
- wear a mask in enclosed spaces and maintain social distancing
- ensure rooms are ventilated by opening windows and doors
- continue to regularly test, particularly before socialising in groups or visiting vulnerable people
- isolate and get a PCR test if you have symptoms
