Our Delivery Plan lays out a framework of actions that will enable us to reach carbon neutrality by 2030 in the district, and will be published on our website next week.

Work to improve pedestrian and cyclist routes to Theale Railway Station will commence early next week.
This is the first phase of the Theale Station upgrade project. Work on the station site itself will be happening later on this year.

 Newbury Rugby Club has been identified as the preferred site for the new sports ground which would include a high-quality artificial grass pitch, stadium, floodlights, a changing room and function room. The site would also be available for community use for rugby and other sports and activities.
We are hosting a webinar (online event) on Tuesday, 16 March at 5pm to update residents and answer their questions.
 On Monday, 8 March Councillor Hilary Cole (Executive Member for Planning, Housing & Public Protection) and Bryan Lyttle (Planning Policy Manager) answered residents' questions about the proposed West Berkshire Local Plan Review 2037.
We will be providing written answers to all the questions emailed in advance along with the ones in the Facebook chat and uploading them to our website.

All not-for-profit organisations in West Berkshire are invited to apply for funding for Covid-19 related mental health projects. Grants of £500 to £30,000 will be awarded for successful applications.
The £200,000 'Surviving to Thriving' fund has been jointly launched by West Berkshire Council and Greenham Trust.
