We are happy to announce that we have released our draft Delivery Plan to complement our published Environment Strategy 2020-2030. You can take a look at the draft Delivery Plan and find out further information on our website.
The draft Delivery Plan lays out a framework of actions that will enable us to reach carbon neutrality for the district by 2030 and act upon the statements of intent made in the Strategy. Whilst many actions will help to deliver a number of the Strategy’s strategic objectives (seen in the arrow image below right), the draft Delivery Plan is organised according to the strategic objective to which the actions most closely relate.
The work to deliver the Strategy will evolve as we develop partnerships and new opportunities arise. This draft Delivery Plan will act as a basis for us to work from. With this in mind, the plan will remain ‘live’ and be continuously developing between now and 2030. The Executive will be presented with a final first version of the Delivery Plan for a formal decision following this period of community engagement.
Delivering upon these objectives will set us on our way to reaching carbon neutrality by 2030 in a way that benefits residents, businesses and our environment.
