Join us for a fun and interactive Makaton Taster Workshop on Friday 2nd May from 1:00pm to 2:45pm at the Cherry Street SEND and Sensory Hub.
Learn the basics of Makaton, a unique language programme that uses signs and symbols to help individuals communicate. This workshop is perfect for parents and carers looking to enhance their communication skills with their loved ones.

Wolverhampton Outreach Service offers a numerous training sessions and events to parents and carers to enhance their understanding of their child's SEND needs and how to support them. Book onto their upcoming events:
Introduction to ADHD: Thursday 10 April- 9:30am to 11:00am Online webinar- Book at: Online Introduction to ADHD with Rachel Watson - Wolverhampton Outreach Service and Family Hubs · Eequ · Eequ An online workshop for parents and carers of children with a diagnosis for ADHD and those who are currently being assessed. Learn about ADHD and explore topics such as the different types of ADHD, masking, ADHD and girls and the role of medication. Gain some practical strategies you can implement at home to support your child, as well as hear from other parents experiences and swap advice and support

Teenlife parent programme: Monday 12 May- At Graisley Family Hub, Pool Street, WV2 4NE Book at: Teenlife Parent Programme with Rachel Watson - Wolverhampton Outreach Service and Family Hubs · Eequ · Eequ This eight week programme is for parents and carers of children aged 10 to 16, who have a diagnosis of autism or are on the pathway. Each week will look at a different topic that impacts teenagers with autism; such as homework, sexuality and relationships. This programme gives the opportunity to meet other parents and carers, swap advice and support and to hear other people's experiences. Licensed by the National Autistic Society and delivered by two trained facilitators.
Emotionally Based School Non- Attendance: Thursday 15 May- 10:00am to 12:00pm at Warstones Primary School, Warstones Road, WV4 4LU Book at: Emotionally Based School Non Attendance with Rachel Watson - Wolverhampton Outreach Service and Family Hubs · Eequ · Eequ A workshop for parents and carers of children who are experiencing emotionally based school non attendance. learn information on what parents can do to support their children and what support they should expect from school. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions and talk to other parents/carers, sharing experiences and swapping advice and support.
Supporting Sensory Differences: Thursday 22 May- A workshop for parents and carers who would like to learn more about sensory processing. Learn about sensory processing and understand some of the challenges children face. Understand over and under sensitivity and how this can impact on their daily life. Gain some practical strategies you can implement at home to support your child.
Yo! Wolves Easter Activities
Throughout the Easter holidays, organisations across Wolverhampton are hosting activity sessions for children to enjoy.
Events include seasonal arts and crafts, sports, cooking, animal handling, sensory play sessions, football camp, coding and music production.
Curiosity Club is designed for children with additional support or emotional needs, including SEND, care experienced children, and children with a social worker, plus their siblings.
Their inclusive and accessible activity days running from 14th to 17th April are filled with arts, crafts, fun activities and games for children living in Wolverhampton aged 5 to 13 years.
Also on Thursday 17th April there will be a fantastic puppet theatre show 'The Zoo That Comes To You', supported by Black Country Touring.
Beatabox offers an exciting two-week workshop blending music and boxing fitness!
Hosted by Beatsabar Music Project, this unique experience will give young people aged 9 to 16 years the opportunity to move to the rhythm, create music, and express themselves creatively.
Rock School by WV10 Consortium offers children aged 8 to 16 years the opportunity to make music and meet new friends at their Easter HAF club from 22nd to 25th April.
Young people will have the chance to try a variety of different instruments, develop their music skills, learn to read music and work together to learn their favourite songs. Young people will also be able to train their singing voices with a professional singing coach. Instruments include drums, guitar, percussion and keyboard.
The School of Coding offers children aged 7 to 11 years its AI, Coding and Robotics Easter events from 14th to 25 April.
Explore the world of AI, coding, and robotics through interactive and engaging activities including building your own robots and coding interactive games and animations.
Gazebo Theatre from 14th to 25 April offers young people aged 8 to 17 years its Easter Activities.
Enjoy exciting and creative activities including Drama, Dance, Easter themed Arts & Crafts, Mindfulness, Games and Music. Every activity is designed to spark creativity, boost confidence and build resilience.
On 24 and 25 April, the Golden Cue Pool and Snooker hall offers Snooker Stars. This is an opportunity for young people aged 12 to 16 years to develop their snooker playing abilities with the help of expert coaches and meet new friends.
