Aston Centre for Growth - support for all businesses

As part of our commitment to promoting, and connecting Wolverhampton businesses with some of our key regional business support assets we are pleased to welcome Aston Centre for Growth to the City on Wednesday 27th November. Part of Aston University, Aston Centre for Growth provides leading growth programmes and other practical business support for entrepreneurs, SMEs, and business leaders across the community.

Colleagues from the Centre will outline the varied support available including their Help to Grow: Management Course and Green Advantage Programme, alongside investment ready pitching competitions.

ERC, the national Enterprise Research Centre is also based at the Centre and run jointly with the University of Warwick. And also based at Aston Business School is the Centre for Research into Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CRÈME) delivering leading expertise on business support for ethnic minority entrepreneurs with recent projects covering financial resilience and scale up challenges. 


Activate Programme - support for the Cultural and Creative sector

Activate is a skills and business programme for the Cultural and Creative sector, a development initiative that forms part of the Commonwealth Games Legacy Enhancement Fund.

It work by empowering creative freelancers and small organisations by providing development opportunities, access to funding, and connections to create resilient, thriving practitioners in the West Midland's ecosystem of creativity.

Activate opens access and increases opportunities for career development and enhancement, helping to build a more equitable and collaborative sector that fully reflects and represents communities within the West Midlands. Grants will also available through this programme.
