Planning a street party for the King's Coronation?

Residents and local community and voluntary groups across the city are invited to apply for grants of up to £250 so they can celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III in style.

Residents are also able to apply for free road closures so that they can host a traffic free and safe street party between 6th – 8th of May.

You need to be quick as the deadline to apply for both (road closure and King’s Coronation Fund) is 5pm on Monday April 24. Learn more.

Register to have your say in May

On Thursday 4 May, people in Wolverhampton will have their say at local elections on who represents them locally.

Residents must be on the electoral register to be able to vote in May. With the registration deadline approaching, the City of Wolverhampton Council is urging those who are not registered at their current address to make sure they do so before it is too late.

The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Monday 17 April. It takes just five minutes to apply online at GOV.UK.    

Voter ID drop-in sessions

Our final drop-in session providing help for those who need to apply for a free voter authority certificate is this Monday 17 April, at Wednesfield Library between 12pm and 7pm. Please click here for more information and to check if you already have acceptable photo ID.

Book your tickets for Wolverhampton Pride

Wolverhampton Pride is on Saturday 10 June in Old Market Square and features headline artists Scott Mills, Baga Chiz and The Fizz plus a plethora of talented local artists including Nate Ethan Watson, Alex Vann and Elton Fantastic alongside the Pride Parade, food, face painting, community stalls and Pride AfterGlow.

The monies raised by ticket sales (excluding booking fees) will be going back to local LGBT charities Wolverhampton LGBT+, X2Y and Gorgeous Radio?

Wolverhampton Libraries presents a fascinating walking trail to celebrate National Walking Month!

Join us on Tuesday 25th April at 10am & 2pm for an hour long walk around the City centre to discover more about Wolverhampton’s iconic buildings and maybe uncover some hidden gems!

Complete your Better Health: Rewards to do list by 27 April

Congratulations to more than 28,000 Wolverhampton residents who have secured a place on the Better Health: Rewards programme.

Better Health: Rewards app users are now being reminded that they have until 27 April to complete the activities in their 'to do' list, which will enable them to start claiming rewards worth at least £40. Read more.

Free Bike Checks in Wednesfield

Dr Bike will be in Wednesfield on Saturday 15 April, by the library, from 11am to 2pm. Qualified mechanics will check your bike, carry out minor repairs and provide advice on more serious faults. No need to book, but if demand is high, you may have to wait.
