 From March 31 the Black Country LEP and Growth Hub will close and be replaced by the West Midlands Combined Authority’s (WMCA) ‘Business Growth West Midlands’.
The business support service will be delivered by the seven local authorities in the region: Birmingham City Council, Coventry City Council, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Walsall Council and City of Wolverhampton Council.

 City of Wolverhampton businesses are invited to an event at Wolverhampton Art Gallery on Friday, April 14 (8am – 10am) to learn more about submitting an entry to the King’s Awards for Enterprise.
The awards recognise outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
They are valid for five years and previous winners have reported benefiting from worldwide recognition, increased commercial value, greater press coverage and a boost to staff morale.
At the event businesses can hear from Wolverhampton Deputy Lieutenant Professor Martin Levermore MBE and Deputy Lieutenant John Wood, who will outline the process involved and answer any questions you may have.

 A support webinar on workplace stress and wellbeing is available for city businesses to view HERE. It covers existing legal requirements for employers, how to carry out a risk assessment, ways to recognise stress and mental health issues and tools to help.
