Children’s University experience for Bilston CE Primary

Bilston CofE Primary

On Tuesday 21st June, 12 children from Bilston CE Primary School attended the University of Wolverhampton for the Children’s University graduation ceremony.  The Children’s University programme is a charity that works in partnership with schools to develop a love of learning amongst the most disadvantaged children.

The Children’s University experience has a significant role to play in raising Pupil Premium children’s aspirations and awareness of University, in particular among those with little or no family experience of higher education. Many of the children’s parents and family members accompanied us on the visit and it was great to see children supported by their families and sharing in this special experience together.

For more information please click here.

Headteacher - Bilston CE Primary

Primary Mathematics Subject Leader Survey

As part of the Education Excellence team’s ongoing work to help support mathematics leaders in schools and to improve the quality of mathematics provision and overall outcomes for pupils in the city, we are in the process of setting up a small steering group of established primary mathematics leaders. The aim will be for us to then work together to produce guidance materials and resources for other subject leaders/class teachers.

To help inform this work, we would really appreciate the views of primary mathematics leaders in relation to some key questions. The link below is to a short survey which should only take 5-10 minutes to complete. The survey will be open until the end of this term. Please forward this information and the link below to the maths leader in school.

Please click here to access and complete the survey.
