Important Covid-19 Update from the Director of Public Health
Employee Risk Assessments for COVID-19
An employee risk assessment tool, specific to Covid-19, has been created by the Public Health team, based on the most recent scientific evidence. Any employee who is working outside of their home on behalf of the Council, or who is shortly going to be doing this, needs to complete a Covid-19 risk assessment. For teams currently at work, a target completion date has been given for all risk assessments – 8th July 2020. For teams which are due to be moving staff away from working at home, the employee risk assessments form part of the process for opening services. At present, guidance is still in place stating that employees whose role can be performed from home should continue to work from home.
The form, which is initially filled out by the employee and then reviewed together with their line manager, allows the level of Covid risk to be assessed for all employees and to be decreased where possible. A video has been created to guide you through the form step by step.

The guidance to the assessment, and the form itself, will be available on the 'Guidance for Wolverhampton Council Employees' page. You will find FAQs on this page. If you are not comfortable with discussing your risk factors with your manager, please contact the occupational health team.
When the risk assessment is completed, your line manager should send this to occupational.healthunit@wolverhampton.gov.uk and it will be kept in your confidential records. A record to say that the assessment has been completed and its overall outcome will be held on your Aggresso file.
