Mental Health Stakeholder Forum

Are you a carer of someone with Mental Health (MH) needs? Want to have your say?

You can join a quarterly Forum that brings all Providers of MH services in the Black Country and surrounding area together to update on developments in MH services, information sharing, raise any issues, network, hear from new providers, share ideas, etc. This held at the Molineux Stadium, Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton WV1 4QR from 10am to 3.30pm. The next two dates are Friday 28 June and then 25 September. Attendees include MH providers, voluntary sector, MH charitable organisations such as various departments from BCPFT, P3, CWC, Public Health, Heads4Health, WVSC, HealthWatch, Victim Support, Police, WM Fire Service, Thrive into Work, Refugee Centre, ACCI, The Haven, Base 25, Primary Care to name but a few.

Parent and Carer Workshops

Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP)

The next Parent and Carer Workshop will be held on Friday 17th May 2019 at Tettenhall Wood School 9.30am till 11.30am.

Led by Elaine Westwood – Wolverhampton Information, Advice and Support Service (IASS)

The workshop will support parents and carers to understand what is an EHCP, how the process works, why parents/carers may need an EHCP, assessments and annual reviews.

Over 12,000 pupils moving school due to bullying   

 

The Daily Mail released data from a Freedom of Information request of all LAs in the country about the number of requests to change school for reason of experiencing bullying in the last year. No child should have to leave school due to bullying. Kidscape have written some tips for parents considering taking their children out of school due to bullying
