FREE Minecraft Challenge for your little monsters

Got a keen gamer in the household? Wolverhampton's libraries are inviting youngsters to take part in a Hallowe'en themed Minecfraft challenge this half term!

The game allows players to build with a variety of different blocks in a 3D world. Children taking part will be able to compete in a variety of solo and group construction challenges.

FREE BP Portrait Award exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery

Wolverhampton Art Gallery will be hosting the BP Portrait Award from Saturday 13 October. The exhibition is on until 30 November and is free to attend. It showcases the most outstanding and innovative new portraits from around the world, with everything from informal and personal studies of friends and family to revealing paintings of famous faces.


Sport and swimming fun this half term at WV Active

There are plenty of activities at the three WV Active centres this October half term, including indoor and outdoor sports, swimming lessons, junior gym, pool activities and arts and crafts. WV Active also offer swimming lesson for children aged 4 and above. For more information, visit the WV Active website.

Secondary school places deadline - 31 October 2018

The deadline for parents applying for secondary school places for their children due to start year 7 in 2019 is 31 October 2018.

To apply for a school place, parents should log on to www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/admissions and complete the application process. Parents and guardians will be notified of their child’s allocated school place on 1 March 2019.
