 Viva Engage (formally known as Yammer) is YOUR channel to connect with everyone here at Waltham Forest, wherever and whenever they work!
This new and exciting app is a great opportunity to share ideas, engage socially in communities that you create, join discussions and meet new people across the Council.
Our Mission is for a more inclusive workforce and a nurturing work environment.
We want you to connect with leaders, breaking down barriers where everyone is included and engaged.
What you can do on Viva Engage:
- Create and join communities
- Share photos, videos and updates
- Exchange ideas across the Council

Create polls to quickly get feedback and answers
- Build connections
- Give praise and more!
Our Chief Executive Linzi Roberts-Egan is so excited and has already made her first post, so make sure you follow Linzi here.
There are communities set up for each of the directorates and each of the staff networks already, so please join your directorate’s community and get involved in our staff networks.
Whilst we want staff to make the most of this resource, there are a few rules we ask you to follow to make it a positive experience for everyone. These include:
- Everything in Viva Engage stays in Viva Engage! (No public posts)
- Do not post confidential information
- Be respectful to other members. It is acceptable to disagree, but please do so in a respectful manner. Remember our FOREST Values
- You are responsible for the material you post to Viva Engage.

We will also be running a training session on Tuesday 30 April at 2pm. Don’t worry if you cannot attend, the training will be recorded, and more sessions will follow soon.
