I’m thrilled that we are able to celebrate you with the Pride of Waltham Forest Staff Awards.
Your continued commitment to delivering our services in Waltham Forest is what makes the borough a great place to not only work but to live and visit.
I'm constantly having my expectations exceeded by our people. From those helping us ease the burden of the cost of living crisis on residents, to those who care for our most vulnerable, to the staff who dropped everything to quickly offer support through flooding and the pandemic.
We all know someone who deserves recognition. Whether they’ve been with us for one year or 20 years, standing on the front line or working in a support service, these awards are a great way for us to shine a light on the true heroes of Waltham Forest, and say a proper thank you for the brilliant work they do.
The categories include Unsung Hero of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Team of the Year and much more. We want to get as many nominations as possible so please nominate your colleagues and team: let us know who has been going above and beyond to achieve the best results for our Council and our community whilst living our values and supporting our priorities.

 The past few years have been challenging and we’ve all had to adapt to new ways of working. In particular the response from the people in our communities has been inspirational – that’s why I’m doubly thrilled that today we also launch the Pride of Waltham Forest awards for our community.
These awards will thank the people in our communities who go above and beyond, whether they're the quiet heroes or the stars of their local neighbourhood.
Nominations include Community Sports Club of the Year, Community Culture Award and Volunteer of the Year.
