Easter fun with Springfest
Join us for a fun-filled Easter holiday programme in Fellowship Square, where you can enjoy a variety of free and ticketed events and activities to keep boredom at bay. There are fountain shows, trails, local food traders to delight your palate, ice cream and way more!
Including the free Fellowship Square Trail:
Every weekday between 10am to 5pm, Amity the lion will guide you around the square. The 30-minute trail contains interesting Fellowship Facts which tell the story of the location, the buildings, and the people. You can also complete Amity's Activities as you go around. See a Fellowship Host afterwards to collect a prize for taking part.

Did you know sharing books with your child is a proven way to boost their speech and language development?
Books are a way for you to spend time with your child and can be used to introduce and reinforce new words.
Check out some tips to get your child engaged:
- Let them choose the book
- Follow their interest in the book – which pages grab their attention, what do they point to?
- Copy any sounds or words they use to show you’re interested too.
- Don’t feel you have to read all the words or finish the story – respond to what interests your child and use simple language to comment on it e.g. ‘shh baby’s sleeping’, ‘dog is stuck!’
Happy reading!

As part of the Healthy Child Programme, all children are offered Health and Development reviews by the health visiting team.
These happen when your child is one year old, and then again when your child is between two and two and a half.
The review is an opportunity to discuss any questions you may have about your child’s health, growth, and behaviour. Their development will be reviewed, and they will be weighed, and height measured. The review will be offered in either a local Family Hub or Health Centre.
If your child is aged 15 to 18 months, or over two and half years, and has not yet had a review, we would like to offer them an appointment with a member of our team.
If you wish to book a Health and Development review for your child, please call 03000 336200.

Are you using your free childcare hours? Free Early Learning and childcare can benefit your child and family in many ways. Here is what some of our families in Waltham Forest have said:
“My child has learnt a lot of new skills and has become more independent. He also has been able to socialise with other children making him more confident and vocal.”
“She is a lot more confident now. She was not talking before and her speech was behind. Our pre-school and the free childcare has really helped her speech and language development.”
“It has been a great financial help and has allowed me to go to work 5 days a week, which was not possible before”.
Why not see if you could also benefit from free childcare entitlements for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and apply online or call 0208 496 3566 to find out more.

Vaccination is the most important thing we can do to protect ourselves and our children against ill health. They prevent up to 3 million deaths worldwide every year.
Since vaccines were introduced in the UK, diseases like smallpox, polio and tetanus that used to kill or disable millions of people are either gone or seen very rarely.
Other diseases like measles and diphtheria have been reduced by up to 99.9 per cent since their vaccines were introduced.
However, if people stop having vaccines, it's possible for infectious diseases to quickly spread again.
Speak to your GP Practice to arrange for your baby or child to have their vaccinations. It's never too late and catch-up programmes are available.
