Marking 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence

16 days of activism

16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.

On 25 November, Waltham Forest Town Hall was lit in orange and Council Leader Grace Williams and Councillor Khevyn Limbajee, Cabinet Member for Community Safety, laid wreaths at the flagpole to commemorate the lives of women lost to gender-based violence.
