Community Walking and Cycling Fund is open for applications!

Calling all community groups! Waltham Forest Council and the Enjoy Waltham Forest Team are pleased to announce £25,000 of funding for the fourth round of the Community Walking & Cycling Fund. The fund supports community group projects that aim to encourage residents to be more active, with 10 projects benefiting an estimated 1,000 residents in 2021 alone.

An example of one of the previous winners is Cycle Sisters who used the funding to hold Teen Bikers rides and engage Muslim teenage girls in bikeability cycle lessons (delivered by local female Muslim instructors.)

If you have a project that looks to build stronger communities, promote sustainable transport options, support healthier lifestyles and tackle social isolation, we want to hear from you! Click for more information on how to apply. (Application Deadline: 29 April 2022, 5pm).

If you would like to discuss your proposal or have any queries, please email the CW&CF Team or visit our drop-in session at Fellowship Square on 6 April 2022. Please book a slot ahead by emailing the team
