The 15-minute neighbourhood is a new way of describing an old concept – it’s a type of urban planning that means everything you need is within easy reach.
It means you can access things like a park, food shop, GP, school, library, community hub, or entertainment venue within 15 minutes of walking, cycling or public transport.
And we need to know what you want more of in your neighbourhood, so we get a clearer picture of how to shape our future.
We've been pushing the 15-minute neighbourhood survey in our Residents News since the start of December, and it closes on Monday - if you haven't had your say yet, now's your last chance!

It’s important that as many people as possible get the first, second or booster vaccine for long-lasting protection against Covid-19. The vaccines are effective and safe, even for children, young people, and pregnant women.
There’s also a free webinar for pregnant women to ask questions and receive expert advice on the Covid-19 vaccines on Thursday 3 Feb 1-2pm.
In Waltham Forest, it’s never been easier to get your vaccine. There’s a vaccine clinic available on any day of the week and many of them do not need an appointment. But, to guarantee your vaccine, booking is recommended.
Please check each clinic for timings and age limits before you visit.
The team at BeeZee Bodies, in partnership with Waltham Forest Council, provide free and fun healthy lifestyles support for families.

Rules for all types of road users will be updated in The Highway Code to help improve the safety of people walking, cycling and riding horse on 29 January.
A new ‘hierarchy of road users’ explains that those in charge of vehicles that can cause the greatest harm in the event of a collision bear the greatest responsibility to take care and reduce the danger they pose to others.
While face coverings were no longer mandatory from 27 January, we ask that you still use a face covering if you come in contact with other people in enclosed spaces or in crowded places.
The risk of catching or passing on Covid-19 can be higher in certain places and when doing certain activities.
If you meet indoors, let in fresh air when possible. It’s still safer to meet outdoors if you can.
