Updates on Coronation Square

Coronation Square July 2021

Taylor Wimpey is working with Waltham Forest Council to revitalise The Score Centre in Leyton. The proposals will bring significant benefits to the area and deliver 750 new homes, of which 50 per cent will be affordable, as well as new community, leisure, flexible commercial facilities and a new public square.

Since the last update in July 2021, Taylor Wimpey has:

  • Erected the first tower crane serving building E
  • Completed the hoarding on Oliver Road
  • Continued with formation of foundations for the new buildings
  • Prepared for the first concrete columns forming the new structure to building E
  • Continued with drainage and services works to provide services to the southernmost buildings
  • Erected the second tower crane. This crane will be focused on the construction of the 16-storey tower to building D

Over the next month, Taylor Wimpey will be carrying out the following works:

  • Further substructure works to buildings D and C, adjacent to the existing Score Centre building
  • Completing the hoarding with the addition of branding and details of the future development, as well as some exciting community artwork produced by a Leyton-based artist. We will be sharing further details about the artist and the inspiration for the work soon.

There will be a sales launch held on 18th September 2021 to mark the opening of the marketing suite on site. Further details on this will be coming shortly.
