Updates on Coronation Square

Coronation square update 1

Taylor Wimpey is working in partnership with Waltham Forest Council to revitalise The Score Centre in Leyton. The proposals will bring significant positive change to the area through the delivery of 750 new homes, of which 50 per cent will be affordable, as well as new community facilities, new leisure facilities and flexible commercial facilities.

Construction works on the Coronation Square development have commenced, and since the last newsletter, Taylor Wimpey has:

  • Erected the initial hoarding on Oliver Road
  • Relocated the site access to the southern end of Oliver Road
  • Commenced forming the foundations for the new buildings. Pile caps are being used as the foundations. They are the most appropriate type of foundation to support the new development.
  • Foundations to the new buildings are due to be completed by the end of July.
  • Progressed the drainage and services works to provide services to the southernmost buildings

Over the next month, Taylor Wimpey will be carrying out the following works to the Coronation Square development:

  • Erecting the first crane towards the end of July. This crane will be distributing the substructure materials.
  • Completing the hoarding works on Oliver Road. This hoarding will include the branding and details of the future development, as well as the exciting community artwork produced by a Leyton-based artist.
  • Further substructure works will continue throughout the rest of the site as the piling completes.

Construction works will be carried out Monday to Friday 8am until 6pm and Saturdays 8am until 1pm.
