From Thursday 1 July, the test sites at Chingford Assembly Hall, Jubilee Centre, Leyton Cricket Ground and One Hoe Street will be changing their opening hours.
New timings will be:
- Monday - Friday: 9.30am - 6pm
- Saturday - Sunday: 10am - 5pm
As always, you don't need to make an appointment to get tested and you can pick up free rapid test kits at these sites also.
Make sure to test twice a week, even if you feel fine and even if you’ve been vaccinated.
Only go to these sites if you don’t have ANY Covid-19 symptoms.
This week it’s London Climate Action Week. We’re marking it by telling our residents about all the climate action we’re taking across the Council, from our incredible, newly transformed Suntrap Centre to our pioneering work on Active Travel – keep an eye on our social channels to find out more.
To kick off the London Climate Action Week, we asked Deputy Leader Clyde Loakes, Cabinet Member for the Environment, to sum up everything Waltham Forest Council has done since we declared a Climate Emergency.
We challenged him to fit it all in two minutes – and he was up for the challenge!
The Council’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) team has launched a fully anonymous questionnaire to gather information about the lived experiences of women and girls in the borough to further understand their sense of safety on our streets.
Information submitted in the survey will be used to inform a funding bid that will aim to tackle street based sexual harassment. The deadline for filling in the survey is Saturday, 3 July.
From later this year, crimes motivated by misogyny will be recorded as a hate crime by police across England and Wales.
Fill out our survey about your local area for a chance to win a £20 voucher to a local shop.
This summer, we want our residents to feel confident to safely reconnect with their friends and community.
We’re putting together some informal guides to our borough to help boost our local spots – and this is where you come in!
Please share your tips, hidden gems and local loves with us, so we can share them with everyone. It’s up to all of us to keep our local community thriving.
Waltham Forest Council works with the independent charitable organisation Road Safety Trust, to gather research and make our roads safer for us all to use.
This is the third year of the project and we want to hear from you about road safety in Waltham Forest. Whether you travel by car, cycle, powered two-wheeler, public transport or on foot - we want to hear from you.
Your feedback will be used to identify where on the road network residents/visitors feel safe and where improvements need to be made. The survey will close on Sunday 4 July.
Our teams are working hard to keep services running throughout the pandemic and our residents safe.
